the last day of 2cr 2006

the last day of 2cr 2006

hate to say this, but today is the last day for us as 2couragers. everyone's feeling differently, but theres one emotion that has certainly ran through our minds--well I don't know how to describe it, fear of separation? Or isit not fear but sadness of separation? Maybe it is a combination, the complex feeling which cannot be easily described. I will just miss everyone in 2 courage, especially my best friend(LOL) who will not be in the same class with me next year.

Therefore to mark this memorable day, emilene, jacie, weigin, jessica, yanbing, ziyi, weisiang and I went out on an outing to cathay shopping centre for a movie. Before that we had a hard time trying to get ziyi with us and finding our way there. We also had our sumptous lunch(for some), but I had a gassy one, at long johns silver. Then we went on to catch the movie "dead or alive"- a film based on a fighting game. Bah but actually i didn't like the movie much, it was too short- abt 90 mins?- not long enough for me to warm the seat and it wasn't good. After the movie we walked out of the building and suddenly weisiang said, "shit, my handphone is missing again". Then we were like lol, we went into that building again, asked that lady whether we could go in and search for the phone, and that lady produced a phone in the drawer and asked "is this yours?". haha, weisiang was lucky. Had his phone been of better quality, he might not have been so lucky, lol.

After the movie we went to plaza sing, went to mini toons, and for an unknown reason, to the mrt station. Then jessica had to go home, and weigin wanted to follow. After they had left, I led the rest to a "remote" corner somewhere near the LAN shop, and we started chatting.about everything. Yanbing was horny, lol, never seen such a horny girl before. We talked from 5pm to abt 6pm? Quite a long duration. Then we found ourselves stuck in the middle of nowhere discussing our directions and our next outing. We made ziyi miss 3 trains, lol. Then we agreed to have a phone conference on sunday evening. There is where we parted. That is how we parted.

hi guys, went to the new vivocity just now. It was nice, I would say, but however the construction and the opening of shops are not 100% complete. Vivocity is a great architecture masterpiece- it sort of combines shopping with some simple "relaxation", children playground and some open spaces into a fixed amount of space, without the feeling of disorder or dishevelment. I went there with my mother, my father and my sister to have dinner. There were like 3 food courts in the whole "city" and we went to the one named "food republic".

I must say that it is quite interesting to experience the atmosphere of the in Singapore during the 1920s that was attemped to be featured in the food court's unique theme. The stall vendors there are dressed in the simple clothings which should be the common clothings during the 1920s plus the bandanas, haha, they are funny. The tables and chairs, the cutlery and the decoration all are into the 1920s theme. The food was quite expensive though.

Then we went round the building and went to shop at the vivomart, which is made up of giant, and some other supermarkets. I would say wow, it is quite mega in the physical and variety sense.

i shall stop here, bye!

You Are 80% Boyish and 20% Girlish

You have a tough exterior - and usually a tough interior to match it.
You're no nonsense, logical, and very assertive.
Sometimes you can't understand women at all, even if you're a woman yourself.
You see things rationally, and don't like to let your emotions get the best of you.
How Boyish or Girlish Are You?

lol.. maybe it isn't that accurate huh

WORLD TRADE CENTER

On Wednesday, lie qi and I went to catch the movie "world trade center". Now its for the movie review. For the trailer click here http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0469641/trailers

The touching film is based on the accounts of 2 survivors, Port authority sergeant John Mcloughlin(by Nicholas cage) and Will Jimeno(by Michael Pena) and
in the September 11 attack. The start of the film seemed like an ordinary Tuesday morning, but their "adventure" later on would not be so mundane. The story unfolds as the buildings collaspe and the two policemen struggles to survive.

I shall not tell too much about it, go watch it, it's nice.

The movie, directed by Oliver Stone, focuses on the human events- mainly on the 2 survivors- and brings out the selflessness and helpfulness of the people, instead of the tragedy or destruction, during that day. As the tagline goes, "The world saw evil that day, two men saw something else", lol, I saw it too, and the audiences can see that too.

The things I like about this film, it is not so "Hollywood", not that drama, natural and close to our hearts.

One thing I found ususual, Oliver stone did not use much of the "endlessly repeated" clips that we are already bored with. Instead he uses great sound effects and some maybe visual effects. It made the building's collaspe feels so real.

Everyone should go watch it... ya.
It's a good film.

You scored as Existentialism. Your life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: You choose the meaning and purpose of your life.
